History

To mention some of our milestones…

JAVAC (Jigtool then) commenced its operation in 1964 as a manufacturer of precision components such as universal joints and tube expanders.

In 1970, as Jigtool High Vacuum, the company proceeded to develop a line of high vacuum pumps which became renown for their precision and reliability. Jigtool were the first in the world to offer the interchangeable vacuum pump cartridge, known as the VacPak®.

Then in 1981, the company JAVAC Pty Ltd evolved. By 1986, JAVAC became the exclusive Australian agent for the entire Leybold range of high vacuum products. Today Leybold are known as Oerlikon and are the largest manufacturer of high vacuum equipment in the world. Loyalty and success go hand in hand.

Following the 1990 Montreal Protocol to reduce ozone depletion, JAVAC introduced the RECO range of Refrigerant, Recovery and Charging Equipment. Today JAVAC are Australia’s only manufacturer of refrigerant recovery machines. Meeting international product standards, JAVAC export recovery machines to the UE, UK and USA.

The mid 1990s saw the introduction of the ECO high-speed refrigerator filling machines, and the Xtract-R oil-free recovery program. These programs continue today with refined products to suit customer applications. Being engineers first and understanding the needs of our customer base is why JAVAC have the enviable reputation for quality and support.

Since 1994 JAVAC has secured the agency for the KNF laboratory equipment. For our customers that means that JAVAC:

1. Possesses vacuum knowledge backed by experience and practice
2. JAVAC also offers customised complex vacuum and refrigeration equipment for laboratories and industry
3. Can provide any vacuum equipment, to any industry and its manufacturing facilities ensuring that individual customer needs are met.

In 2002 a new revolutionary range of high vacuum pumps was introduced, the “Shark” a quality 2 stage vacuum pumps housed in a unique easy to carry polyethylene carry case. The Shark made huge in road in to the tough US market and resides today along side the Vector® range of commercial, industrial and laboratory vacuum pumps.

The year 2004 saw JAVAC celebrating its 40th year and cemented our determination to continue as No. 1 of the industry. The organisation undertook an ongoing investment process to ensure advanced manufacturing techniques and technology.

Today, 2009 sees the release of the new Vector Series of Australian designed and manufactured high vacuum pumps, a progression from the earlier CD and JL range. These new pumps have the benefit of over 40 years of experience in design and refinement, resulting in a world class product.

JAVAC’s tenure in the market is a testament to the long term dedication and our key focus; providing excellence in our products and service for our Customers; and being sensitive towards the welfare of it’s staff – JAVAC’s most valuable asset.

JAVAC has been and still remains the force to contend with in the Australian market.
